Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee and manage our financial reporting, budgeting, and internal control processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, controlling activities, and compliance with international accounting standards. Fluency in German and English is essential, as the role involves extensive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, providing critical insights to senior management, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in accordance with IFRS and HGB
- Manage and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Conduct financial analysis and interpret financial data to support strategic planning and business decisions.
- Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate and mange audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting functions.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in optimising tax strategies across jurisdictions.

- Evaluate existing financial processes and systems, recommending improvements and driving implementation.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, department heads, and executive leadership to provide financial guidance and support.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Bachelors’ or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or a similar role (construction industry experience is highly advantageous).
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS, HGB, and financial compliance regulations.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Proven proficiency in financial systems and ERP software.
- Fluent in German and business proficient in English.
- Excellent in analytical skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of organisation.
